Following on from an earlier post here – I wanted to explore other Hex colors that are words. I always agonise over colour schemes and as I was pleasantly suprised by the colour #BADA55 (or BADASS Green) I thought I’d see if there are other Hex words that are as aesthetically pleasing. After doing a Google dig I soon realised that plenty of geeks before me have had this notion but not necessarily to see the related colour … read the ‘humour’ section of this Wikipedia entry to see what I mean BEEFBABE … *cough* … see what I did?

Anyhoo, the allowed letters are ABCDE & F but I reckon you can include I, O & S if you substitute the numbers 1,0 & 5. From these letters I started to think of some words …

DEAD, BEEF, BABE, FEED, FACE, BASS, COFFEE, DECAF, FIASCO, SAD, BEE, SOD, ICE, BAD, BEAD, ACE, BASIC, SCAB, CAFE, DOSS, CAB, OAF, SAFE, SCABIE

I’m guessing there are loads more. Indeed, these 9 letters could be on your Scrabble board as you read this and if you can expand on this list or suggest some cool 6 letter words using these letters I’d love to know them. Anyway, I digress … here are some Hex color words in their colours for your pleasure.

… and then I start clutching at straws. My faves though are definitely #BADA55, #F1A5C0, #C0FFEE and #BEEEEF … shame the colours are 5AD!

There must be some genius ones I’ve not thought of … come on, let’s think of some BADASS Hex Color Words.
